'There's a delicious pecorino if you would like to try; it's truly exceptional'. Pecorino is one of the least attractive cheeses imaginable;sour, sweating, salty, with a lingering after -taste.
Is its truly exceptionalness an exaggeration of these qualities - or their amelioration?
'It's Sardinian!' Does that make it worse or better? Aren't qualities supposed to act as a guide?

i quite like pecorino.
but i remember giules trying to get me to try one of those coffee sweetner tablets on their own:
g (spitting it out): eeergh, yuk, yuk, that's disgusting it's horrible. Really really horrible. Try one!
l: er, no thanks.
g: but they're revolting! they taste bitter and nasty. you have to try one.
l: still no.
g (offering me one sweetly): here you are

I quite like pecorino too - depends on the type, and the bread you have with it. but then I'm also a great fan of cheddar cheese (any type).
The sweetenters were truly extraordinary in the horridness, I suppose one wants to share extraordinary experiences...
